This list will be updated to include the local chapter effects that players need to know for our events. The list will also be printed and available at check-in.
OUT-OF-PHASE: This effect is denoted by the NPC or PC holding weapons or claws crossed in the shape of an X, visibly out in front of its chest. It takes a three count to "phase out" or "phase in", spoken as "I phase in/out 1... I phase in/out 2... I phase out 3..." During either count, the NPC or PC is vulnerable to any attacks that it would normally be vulnerable to, and cannot use any defenses other than pre-cast spells defenses (shield magic, magic armor, etc...) While "phased out", the character is immune to all in-game effects but cannot take any in-game actions. The character is allowed to walk and talk as normal. This ability does not allow the character to phase through solid objects.
DRAGON MAGIC: Limited NPC's may have the ability to cast ritual magic as battle magic. The incantation for these abilities will always begin with "From the Depths of Wyrm's Power, I..." and will include the name of the ritual being cast. A shield magic spell will stop any attack delivered in this fashion as it would any battle magic spell. Dragon Magic can be resisted, phased, and dodged as any spell attack. The NPC is responsible for carrying the appropriate physical representations, tags, and rules necessary for the use of this magic.
