Hey all,
I have some exciting news to announce about NERO Detroit moving forward that should make this a much better run organization... and a lot more responsive.
Jay and I will no longer be running the chapter. We've tried to string it along for the last couple years, but there's no denying that we just don't have the time to do it. That's not to say we haven't tried to ignore that fact and push forward anyways...
From this point forward, Ceilyn, Asa, Tyler, and Bud will be the official chapter owners and will be running the chapter. They will be taking care of all of the things that Jay and I never had the time to do right (logistics, event scheduling, clean-up, tavern coordination, etc...)
Jay and I aren't going anywhere. We will still be continuing to run plots for the chapter. We expect to still run 3 or 4 events per year from a plot perspective.
Events will also be run by a plot team run by the above 4. I think their plans right now are to run about 8 events per year. So, that will definitely be an improvement!
Jay and I would like to thank everyone for bearing with us these last couple years. We know that things were a little sloppy here and there. Things are in much better hands now and this should really make for an improved chapter!
You can continue to send your plot information and OOG issues to the nerodetroit@gmail.com address. We'll all be monitoring it and sending out the appropriate responses.
Here's to the future! And a much leaner, meaner fighting machine of a chapter!
