Plans are already under way for our next event. We hope to run it in early September (not Labor Day).
The big question in front of us is where the event will take place on an in-game level. So, we're going to put the question out there to you, the PC's who will be attending the event.
The event can take place at any of the following locations:
Sanctuary
The Royal Academy Northern Outpost
The Troll Lands
The Dragonsteeth Lands
So, let us know either by post or email, where your characters would like to go.
As an additional option, it is possible to combine two into one weekend.
We are toying with the idea of starting the event on Friday night in the troll lands. Then moving to the Royal Academy on Saturday and for the remainder of the event. Players would have the option of PCing one or PCing both depending on what their character would want to do.
Let us know what you think and where your characters are looking to travel.
To supply a little more information about what would be happening at each potential event location:
First off, please note that the following information is only being provided on an out-of-game level in order to help you make an out-of-game decision about where you would like to go for the next event. If your character does not know any of the following information already, you still do not know it following this post. Based on where you pick to travel, enough information will be provided later to inform your character about where you're going so that you don't show up to the event as your character saying "Where am I and why am I here?"
Royal Academy: No particular agenda. Would provide an opportunity for research and for those seeking to join to continue that process. A far more civilized location than Sanctuary with opportunities for access to books and formal scrolls, etc... This doesn't mean that there won't be fighting at the event... only that the fighting is generally less harsh than...
Sanctuary: Well, you were just there. The place is a bit of a hell-hole most days, though at least that pesky Ravager was defeated. A more day-to-day combat-heavy event location with the ongoing goal of closing the Graveyard of the Four Wynds and re-establishing the place.
Troll Lands: The PC's have recently been asked to go to the Troll Lands to pass the trolls' tests and then petition them to join the cause of the Wolf and Bear Tribe barbarians. The half-event here would involve those tests. Of course, it would not require that the PC's actually try to enlist the aid for the Wolf and Bear. What you do there, as always, is at your discretion. We would just provide the location if the goings-on at the last event piqued your interest in travelling there.
Dragonsteeth Land: The PC's have recently been informed that they have to perform tasks for the Dragonsteeth to make up for a past affront. A half-event there would involve furthering that story line.
((Edited to include the information from my response below at the top in case you don't want to read that far. Then edited because Jay thought that I made the Royal Academy location look like a trip to your local library. ))
