I am posting this partially in reaction to some of what is going on here in our forums and partially as a result of what I currently see happening on another forum where I PC from time to time.
First off, our goal (Bill, Jay, Jordan) is to provide our players with an interactive world, as close to constant entertainment during events that we can come up with, and interesting plots that keep you thinking and re-thinking your decisions.
With that out of the way, we understand that we are far from perfect. We make mistakes. We make assumptions that aren't true. Hell, we're even biased toward running things that we would love to see as PC's ourselves.
There's an old saying from my days in the car business. "You're either green and growing or red and dead."
We always want to be "green and growing." We want to improve. We want to try new things. Sometimes those things will fail. Sometimes they will succeed.
That's why we ask for so much feedback from you guys on what we're doing and how it's working for you. The feedback that we have been provided since the last event has been invaluable. We are so grateful for everything that you tell us, especially the things you don't like.
Because if you don't like something and post about it, chances are there are at least five other people who feel the same way who would never post it in an open forum. You become their voice and give us a chance to keep improving. Thank you.
We are very, very, very thick-skinned. You will not offend us. You're not going to send us running away crying. And I hope that you can tell by our responses that we give all of your criticisms thought and look for ways to grow from it.
So, basically, keep doing what you're doing. Keep it coming. And we're going to have a great game on our hands.
<<Note... this was born from a recent thread I read where a chapter owner took offense to negative feedback on the message board and stated that only positive feedback should be posted. Negative should be emailed privately. I disagree with that approach, and wanted to make sure I re-iterated that.>>
