My Friends,
As many of us learned at the Academy, I am the heir to Sanctuary, the son of Teslok and nephew to Larrin. And while Larrin has confirmed these words, I care little for titles and nobility. And these following words are not made as leader of anything, but as a friend who has witnessed too many close friends die.
This last market faire in the lands of the Royal Academy has been difficult for many of of us. We have fought and battled and I do believe we have won this battle. And while our brothers and sisters fell, there will be time for mourning once the dust has settled. There is still a fight to be had for these lands, and not against each other. For too long we have looked at each other, wondering what will their next play will be. You have no need to look at me that way again, for I'm announcing my plans here and now, to everyone who wishes to look upon them. And I plea to all of those who call Sanctuary home to stand by my side, and even those who don't I call upon you as friends, allies or people who want to see Tyrra a better place.
Tarnian is a perversion of the man he once was. Once a great champion to these lands, he lost control and sought a way to do away with evil forever. But in his quest to stop the plague upon the lands, he only joined it. He claims to restore balance, but there is more dead in these lands than living. And while I truly wish I could save him, too much blood lies at his feet. He has brought too much pain and suffering to those I care for. So Tarnian, as I know you shall be reading this. The game is over. No more manipulation, no more cats paws. This will end. Soon.

Armond Soot,
You call me a perversion. You say that too much blood lies at my feet. You say that I have caused too much pain and suffering to those you care for.
Have I killed? Yes. But I have only killed in self defense or when I have been forced to in order to ensure the prosperity of these lands.
Rundra's death is on my hands. It pained me to end his life. But he left me with no other choice. The Wolf are dying. I will not let these great people vanish from the face of Tyrra because their Chieftain is too weak and old to shepherd them through these trying times. He would not step aside for the youth, wisdom, and strength of the new Chieftain. The Council could have called for his abdication but refused out of misguided respect for his past. No one would challenge him for the same reason. I could either watch them all follow Rundra to their deaths or save them.
I released the Blood Pack against the Royal Academy because that fool Grilus would not steer from a path that would have increased the blight upon these lands that I love. When I learned that Grilus had been stopped by your efforts, I sent word that I would work with you in order to close the portal to the Graveyard of the Four Wynds.
I am in possession of the cards necessary to close the portal. I gathered them for Archwizard Perrin and have them safely in my possession, ready to use. But with Perrin missing, and now dead, I do not have the means to do this myself.
Everything that I have done has been toward the singular goal of protecting these lands and those who call them home. And yet you persist in naming me villain.
So be it. Let your end come as it will.
~Tarnian

Tarnian, My question to you is what made you decide to betray all that Lerrin and Tesloke stood for? Your quest for power has corrupted your mind, body and soul. I stand with Armond, House of the Risen and the people of Sanctuary in seeing you no longer pervert these lands.

After everything you've done, it will be threatening my brother that does you in, Tarnian. Bands of honor and blood were formed on the day Armond discovered his heritage. The people defending Sanctuary are more capable and aware than evere before. I would suggest slinking back to whatever pit you came from, tail between your legs, but I wouldnt want to risk you escaping the justice so deserved.

I will not throw around words, tacked to a tree, filled with the scorn and crashing of a thunderstorm without lightning.
When next you gather, I shall send you word of where you can find me.
Ignore the truth. Turn your back on these lands.
As always, I serve those who call these lands home.
If you so desire to see the end come "soon," I will be your humble servant and oblige you.
~Tarnian

Tarnian, Releasing the Blood Pack on the Academy was your doing, you say? Fascinating. You know, I almost died as a result of that. For someone who cares about these lands so much, you sure do have a rather unique way of going about entertaining new guests and visitors... I'm sure you have your motives for doing what you do, but please try to understand: not all of us are involved in the history of these lands. Some of us were merely passing through and suddenly caught in the middle. If I was curious to know what your opinions on "collateral damage" might be, well, let's just say that you surely made them clear rather quickly. But! I will say I learned something rather neat during my trip. There was this dead spirit fellow who came to us one evening. He seemed to love the sound of his own voice and waxing rhetoric on how gentlemanly he was. I only wish I could remember his name to give him proper credit... The youthful wood elves called him "Ass and Toes"? I think. No, that doesn't seem right... Anyway! Whomever he was, yes - it was he who taught me this whimsical little trick one can do when offering a handshake... For all of your "hospitality," Tarnian, I look forward to visiting to your lands again and offering you one of these handshakes, only, one of my own variety. It's the least I could do to express my gratitude. Sincerely yours (for whatever time you have left in life), -Gaeric Mourningwood

Hey, I am not the one who is deciding to handshake the man who sent out the Blood Pack to kill everyone I care about. Get some sense Gaeric!

In my defense: I was highly intoxicated and under the assumption I would not be returning to Sanctuary when I wrote that and stapled it to this tree. (Seriously. WAY drunk. (Random Aside: Thanks, Sticks. ) The fact that so many of you couldn't tell speaks something to my ability to hold my liquor better than even I thought. Ah well... My scribblings belong to the tree now. -Gaeric Mourningwood

First off Asantanious didn't send the blood pact out Tora Tarnian did. Asantanious came to watch. Tarnian is the problem and he is causing turmoil in these lands. Tarnian will be dealt with. I stand by Armond death to Tarnian and all who support him. GROGG

I think you misunderstood what I said Grogg. Gaeric wants to use the handshake Asantanious taught him on Tarnian, and I said I was not the one who wanted to handshake the man who killed everyone I care about.
Either way I won't be around. I am going home!

Tora, Asantanious torments people for his own amusements. If he had really wanted to he could have attacked and done quite a bit of damage to the towns defenses before he would have fled... Going home may keep you alive, but what of the other townsfolk that will selflessly lay down there lives to keep Sanctuary safe?

I feel it is up to the mettle of the individual. Are you willing to face the permanent death for those that stand beside you? To me, there is no more noble passing from Tyrra.
