Lords and Ladies!
With the reorganization of NERO Detroit's staff and plot team comes a few new policies. These are to be expected with changes like this, but we just want to make sure that everyone is informed as to what will be going on.
1. PC Talk Is Back
The last few events at NERO Detroit we had done away with PC Talk in favor of a PC Handout sheet that gave a brief rundown of how we do things at the chapter. But we believe, with all of the changes occurring with the chapter it would be best to bring back the PC talk, just to make sure people know how we play at NERO Detroit, and to touch base with our players, let you know who the marshals are, inform you all of these kind of things, ect.
2. Production
The cut off for turning in production ahead of time will be the Wednesday before the event. Doing this will ensure you have your production items waiting for you at check in. (And make things much easier for staff) This will be a recurring policy for all events. But unlike before, should you wish to do your production in game, it is now possible if you have access to a phys repped shop/lab in game. Be warned though, if a staff member is busy with other things, you may be asked to wait to get your tags. In this time, we request and encourage you to roleplay making the items you are waiting on tags for. We believe this will help add to the game immensely as well as let crafters be able to make things on demand.
3. Issues and Resolution
This probably shouldn't be in here, but I feel its incredibly important. This has always been a policy at NERO Detroit, but I want to make sure it is touched on again with the new staff. If you have any issues AT ALL with the game, the way things are running or anything, PLEASE come tell us. We run this game for people to have fun. If you aren't, we need to know. If you want to come tell us our game is horrible and you hate us for it, and you truly feel that way, come tell us. We've got thick skin. This goes for anything at the event. Our number one goal, is for every player to leave the event on Sunday happy about coming out for the weekend.
4. The Bank System
As many of the returning players have come to terms with, the amount of physical coin being given out at NERO Detroit's events has been relatively limited. And while there is a strong chance this will continue at this coming event, we are working to have it fixed next season. But we do recognize this issue, and I know that many of you have deposited plenty of gold into your banks, where it just tends to sit and seem useless for many things. Well, we intend to fix this. Starting this event, the bank system will be available to use with a number NPCs, as well as between PCs if they so wish. We will have "Bank Transfer Contracts" available to any character that wishes to use them. This is a binding contract that both parties sign off on, that allows you to use the money within your bank for in game transactions. We hope that in the future, that this won't be needed, but it will be available to those who wish to use it.
Please folks, if you have any thoughts on these policies for good or for bad, feel free to bring them up here or message us if you would rather it not be public. We love feedback!
