So...for those in the know...it sounds like we are going to have a meeting to discuss some matters.
As the local tavern keep and resident provisioner I feel it my duty to start a discussion on what sort of provisions people will be bringing so I know what is needed.
If you are planning to attend, would you please be so kinda as to list how many individuals you represent and what you will be bringing to the gathering, this also helps me to know how much to bring. I will begin:
Sticks and possibly Teanna
Marinated, spiced, seasoned meats (Beef for sure, Poultry probably, shrimp if my nets on the boat are favorable) in a variety of flavors designed to be cooked quickly over an open firepit or a charcoal flame.
I will also bring a water box and some sweet corn on the cob which can be tossed into the firepit to cook and is probably one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten from a firepit.
I have a small hotbox that holds charcoal for cooking that I will also bring with me, and if it seems like we are missing other items I will endeavor to fill the gaps but am hoping not to over expend my gold supply if others can bring things as well.
If you are not sure here are some suggestions for things that I think would go well.
More Cow or Bird (I dont think I can realistically afford to feed everyone a full meals worth of steak/chicken. I will probably bring between 5 and 10 lbs total so everyone can have some and get a nice variety but that is about the limit of my budget)
Potato/Taco/Pasta/Fruit - Salad
Kielbasa/Brats
Ground up cow meat made into patties
Fresh Fruit - watermelon and strawberries
Corn on the cob (bring it in the husk please and we can just toss it in the cooler I will bring and fire roast it).
Fruit Squigglies (Jello) - with or without Hooch
Cookies - come on...everyone loves cookies!
I'm sure I could go on...but I am getting hungry thinking about this, I just ate lunch, and I am sure you all get the idea.
Yay!! Time to go get second lunch!
